Tour Diary - January 2009
Jan-Outstanding month for Platypuses, 100% strike rate for viewings & 2 out at once on 6 occasions, They came within 2-3 metres of them on several occasions which is amazing for one of Australia's most elusive creatures.
Found Australia's second largest Eagle, the White Bellied Sea Eagle's afternoon resting site & it seems to be there 90% of the time.
We helped 'Friends of the Koala' rescue a diseased Koala that had drawn blood from the rescuer. Still a few baby Koalas around. Also spotted a Lace Monitor & a lot of Yellow Tail Black Cockatoos around.
